Midnight Masquerade Giveaway!

It's been a while since we've done a give away! In just a few days we will be showcasing the pics for our upcoming Midnight Masquerade Mini Collection. It is a mini collection of Fall colors that I just had to have this year and they didn't fit into any collection, but made a perfect collection on their own. For now they will stay hidden behind the masquerade of some photo editing. But let's get on to the give away!

We'll be giving away 7 Midnight Masquerade Collections! 4 on Facebook, 2 on Instagram and 1 using Rafflecopter. Contest starts Friday Nov 1st and will end Thursday Nov 8th at 11:59 PM EST. Sorry everyone, this one will be open to U.S. Residents only. Boo I know!

Facebook Give Away
There will be two categories:
Simple Mani showcasing one or two colors only
Nail Art, using all Cult Nails polishes only

Here's how it will work, post a picture on our Facebook wall wearing an all Cult Nails mani. You can wear one color or showcase some nail art. Make sure you use the following hashtags so we know you are entering the giveaway #Jointhecult #cultnails. I'll pool all the pictures together into an album for the giveaway and the picture in both categories with the most likes will each win one set of our upcoming Midnight Masquerade Collection. We will also randomly select one photo from each group to also win the collection!

The sooner you post your pics, the more likes you can get, but remember a random winner will also be selected, so any time is a good time to enter! But remember the contest officially starts on Friday Nov 1st, so hang tight and don't post them before then.

Instagram Give Away

Post your mani or nail art photos on Instagram. Make sure you tag me  and use the hashtags #Jointhecult and #cultnails. I will repost each entry on my Instagram page and the photo with the most likes will win a collection. We will also pick a random entrant to win the collection as well. Now that your ready to enter, stay tuned for us to remove the mask and show off this collection in just a few days in time for Pre-Sale!

Of course I had to take some outfit shots while we were at it! And no this is not the same dress I am selling! I actually bought the dress in two sizes because I was working out and knew my body would change and wanted this dress bad enough to buy two so I could ensure I would have one that fits! Meet Zero

Many of you know that we had to put our oldest dog down not that long ago. It was one of the hardest things we have ever had to do. She lived an amazing 14 years and I still find myself calling after her some days. After going through that and still having another dog at home, I swore I could never go through that pain again. There was just no way I was going to ever get another pet again. I was done.

Well almost 2 weeks ago while homecoming shopping with my girls I walked into the pet store. 1st off let me just say, I am no fan of pet stores. The whole pet mill thing just infuriates me! I prefer getting my pet through the pet adoption method. But none the less I found myself walking into the store and seeing the cutest/ugliest little puppy I had ever seen. I wanted to save the puppy and bring it home with me. I was so close. John stood his ground. I'm so glad he did, what a moment of weakness. Not proud.

Of course I posted a pic of the pup on Instagram, and through the power of the internet we ended up getting a cute pup the very next day! I still wasn't sure, I said OK let's go look at the pup when I got the call. Then I saw the pup and it wasn't an instant bond, but somehow in the next half hour it happened. He licked my nose and the rest is history.

Zero is so happy at the thought of meeting his new family!

I have spent the last week and a half chasing, cuddling and training our new pup and of course posting pic after pic on my Instagram. We named him Zero, he stole my heart. I miss him when I am not with him. My heart swells when I see him. It is the craziest thing. I go to do my nails or do a blog post and rather just spend my time cuddling with this little fur monster instead. So while he lays next to me sleeping, I am posting some pics here. I posted all these on Instagram, so if you don't follow us there, you get to see him now. Hopefully this gets my blog juices flowing again!

Red Booties and Florals

I posted a few Fall outfits from Target on Monday and then the week went crazy. When I posted this outfit idea, I'd already purchased this top and had ordered these booties online. I really wanted to wear the booties with the top for the 1st time, so the top was left hanging in my closet waiting. But then the temps dropped yesterday to a high of 82. The beginning of Fall has arrived in FL! I couldn't wait and had to wear the top! Then after getting home from an appt yesterday, surprise, surprise the booties were here! I instantly threw them on! Perfect timing!

This outfit is such a standout because of the rich red floral hues in the top and of course those red booties. I wore this out and about yesterday and then realized I didn't bring shoes to change into to go watch my daughter cheer for her HS Football team. So I was THAT mom wearing this outfit to a HS Football game. Needless to say I got the once over from  a few moms. Funny how an outfit that made me feel so confident earlier in the day could make me feel so out of place just a few hours later! Wrong place for the booties! But whatever, I rocked them anyway.
Top: Target - Jeans: Express - Booties: Target - Handbag: 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target (Sold out, but people are still finding them in stores as returns filter in)  - Sunglasses: Fendi Similar Here - Bracelets: Alex & Ani
If you follow me on , You already know just how obsessed I am with these booties. I mean seriously, everything about them is just amazing! Well not true. These heels measure at 4.5 inches. That is just about an inch more than I like on my heels. Imagine these with a thicker heel at about 3 inches? That would be perfect! Although perhaps it would take some of the sexy away.

Coco's game yesterday was about 45 minutes away and we had to have her there an hour before the game, so John and I went to a nearby park and snapped some OOTD photos.

Fun fact: The dock was a floating dock and I have this irrational fear of docks. I don't know what it is, but they freak me out, much to the amusement of friends and family. I still go on them, but I get super awkward. Every time John moved, the dock would move and I would freak just a little. I'm telling you it's completely irrational. My mind just thinks the dock is going to break under me and I'm going to wind up in shark/gator infested waters and get swallowed up. I think it's the fear of not knowing how deep the water underneath me is and not being able to see what is under there. Crazy I know!

A little booty with my booties.

I absolutely love the faux leather detailing on the shoulders of this top. They have a few different styles of this top, but this is the only one I saw with the faux leather detail.

John had to get in on the action. We took an OOTD photo of him while we were out there. Forget Blue Steel, he's channeling Bruce Willis here.

Are you ready for Fall already? Depending on where you live it could be the start of Winter or the start of Summer. Where on the spectrum are you?

Don't Sleep on Target Style

If you follow me on Instagram, by now you know my love of Target Style. I love fashion, but I also love putting those fashionable pieces in my wardrobe at an affordable price. I feel like by mixing some affordable pieces in with my more classic pieces, I can still look good and in style, while staying within my shopping budget.

Pants and Handbag are Target

Top, Pants and Handbag are Target

Often times when I am out with my friends I hear, "Don't tell me you got that at Target?" "OMG I love your outfit! Is that seriously Target?" "Let me guess, Target?" "I need to shop at Target with you!" At first it was a little embarrassing, like a dirty little secret. But now I just laugh. And I also see my friends sporting Target more often now too! It's a matter of going in and just checking things out. Like any store there will be hits and misses. Then you have to be willing to try stuff on. It doesn't always look amazing on the hanger, but if you have an open mind and try it on, you might be surprised. I often grab other items similar to what I know I have in my closet to try on with the items. This gives me a feel as to whether or not the piece will work for me.

Everyone always jokes that Target should pay me for all the advertising I do.  Heck as big of a Target fan as I am, how cool would it be to see Cult Nails in Target! And I often think hmm could I wear only Target for an entire year? Why Target and not any affordable fashion? I don't know, maybe it's because Target is about 10 minutes away and I know it's accessible no matter where I tend to go? Most other affordable fashion stores are at least an hours drive away. I sometimes will order from these other options online and only half the time does it work. Which then means either spending money on shipping things back, or holding on to these items until the next time I make the drive to Orlando and then having to run errands when I do head to Orlando. That's enough to just turn me off from the online shopping. Target is close, it's easy, more often than not it's good quality and it's affordable and budget friendly. So I thought I would put together some entirely Target options on Polyvore to get your Fall wardrobe going. You may or may not see me sporting some of these items throughout the Fall and Winter months ahead. Are you a Target Style fan too? Come on you can admit it here!
